Warren Capone

Linebacker

Warren Capone was a hard-hitting linebacker from LSU, who broke into the starting lineup as a rookie in ’74 and stayed there. He made many memorable plays, both as an aggressive run stuffer and turning in big plays such as interceptions and fumble recoveries. Capone was the heart of one of the WFL’s strongest linebacking corps in 1974, and was the leader of the 1975 Vulcans stingy defense, which was the WFL leader in scoring defense.
