This was found in 2002. It was once a large
wall painted ad for the Vulcans on a building on
Birmingham’s south side.

There are still a few of these glasses still
around. I bought one on ebay in 1998 from Tony Walls
and we've been friends ever since.

Bill Bryant wore this helmet in 1974. I owned
it and now It hangs at the Tin Roof BBQ in Birmingham as
part of My friend Jeter Brock’s collection, as does
the jersey of Vulcans LB Pat Kelly

What could have been… Kenny Stabler would have been throwing to
Dennis Homan again, but it never happened

This pic appeared in Sports Illustrated a few
years ago. Stabler in an Ams uniform.

In the late 70’s, there was an ad in a
magazine for a big screen TV giveaway. The simulated picture was as above, Jim
Kiick of Memphis and Warren Capone of Birmingham squaring off.

Larry Willingham told me that one of the hardest hits that he had ever taken was from
Florida’s Hubie Bryant. Willingham went to tackle Bryant and Bryant ran straight on into Willingham’s tackle. The result of the collision was a warped face mask on Willingham’s helmet (left). At right is the mask from Willingham’s Vulcans helmet, which is what the one on the left used to look like.
